OUR MISSION
We are a charity dedicated to raising funds to purchase Shelterbags from the Sheltersuit Foundation and collaborating with local homeless outreach agencies to distribute them to those in need. Our project is run by the Rotary Club of Terrigal, New South Wales. With your help, we can provide warmth and shelter to those who need it most.
HOW WE HELP
Our group imports Shelterbags from a South African company Sheltersuit that in turn employee homeless people to produce their product. Making these ethically made using high quality products that are long lasting and hard during for all weather conditions while being comfortable. Our Rotary clubs co-ordinate with outreach groups that work with helping homeless people in distributing our Shelterbags to those who will benefit from comfortable bedding while giving them dignity. Central coast organisation Health on the street was one the first group’s to work alongside Terrigal Rotary in distributing Shelterbags and this proved to be a stable and beneficial relationship between the two organisations who were able to continue on with the goal of distributing the Shelterbags and making the lives of homeless people better.

We are committed to helping those experiencing homelessness by providing them with a Shelterbag offering a warm, waterproof, comfortable, sleeping bag that rolls into a light, easily transportable pack. The group collaborates with local outreach agencies to distribute the Shelterbags to those in need. By donating to our cause, you can help provide a warm, dry, comfortable shelter to those most in need of it.
FUNDRAISING
As a non profit organisation, we rely on the generosity of donors to fund our mission. We hold fundraising events and accept donations to help us purchase Shelterbags and provide them to those in need. All our workers are volunteers so every cent donated goes to purchasing Shelterbags.
We are proud to collaborate with a range of local and national organisations that share our commitment to support those less fortunate than us. Our partners include Rotary Clubs, Outreach Agencies and Community Organisations who have joined us in our mission to provide a little comfort to those experiencing homelessness.

SHELTERBAGS
Our Shelterbags were designed by design graduate Bas Timmer to provide warmth and shelter to those experiencing homelessness. Our Shelterbags are made in South Africa by the otherwise unemployed, thereby providing two philanthropic projects in one, and distributed through outreach agencies in Australia.
OUR IMPACT
To date, we have raised over $230,000and imported over 2,900 Shelterbags which have been distributed to New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Our next shipment of 900 bags is due in February/March and will also cover Shelterbags to South Australia
